Your Donations at Work: March 2023

During March 2023, Sunflower Seeds Ukraine delivered $25,631.14 in aid! This included hundreds of medical components, including 200 tourniquets, 200 hemostatics, 100 basic medical sets, 100 chest seals and 100 medical pouch bags. Spring is still a cold time in Ukraine, so our defenders also received more than 300 winter outfit components, including thermal underwear, rain and snow clothing, boots, uniform sets and 1,000 hand and toe warmers. We were also able to provide 245 pieces of protective equipment and more than 100 tactical gear items. All of this was made possible by the $11,257 in support that we received from 76 donors during the month of March.

Some of the most important items we’ve been providing in the last half a year are medical backpacks. These usually include not only tourniquets and chest seals, but also chest decompression needles, oral and nasal access tubes, flexible splints, and many other medical items carried in the field by a trained paramedic attached to a unit.
