YOUR DONATIONS AT WORK: AUGUST 2023
August shaped up to be one of our biggest fundraising months of this year, thanks to 128 donors who gave online and nearly as many who contributed at one of the many events we attended, as well as Dine Out for Ukraine proceeds from >30 participating restaurants (more than $13,000 in total!). The money raised enabled us to deliver the following to Ukraine in August: 950 medical items (enough to make 100 first aid kits), 258 personal protective equipment items (including 75 electronic earmuffs), 85 tactical gear items, 15 optical devices, and 18 other items, together worth $27,434.02!
Also in August, the container shipped by sea earlier this year arrived in Ukraine, and donated gear was distributed, including: 600 uniform tops/bottoms, 300 pairs of boots, 100 sleeping bags/pads/tents, 200 canteens with cups, 25 web gear sets, 20 solar panels. The supplies also included a pallet each of medical supplies, firefighting equipment, and two pallets of civilian boots and jackets together worth approximately $25,000.
We can’t thank enough all of the donors who have been with us for the last year and a half. The thousands (literally) of Ukrainian Defenders who have received your help feel that you are with them every minute of their fight and are deeply grateful for your support!
