CHILDREN CAMPS - SUMMER 2024
This year, SFSU provided a subsidy for 22 children of military personnel to participate in a scout camp in Western Ukraine. “We make every effort for safe and meaningful SUMMER time for children in Ukraine." Yuri Shadyi, a team member of Sunflower Seeds Ukraine
An important area of activity of the Sunflower Seeds Foundation is the support of children in Ukraine who suffer daily psychological and physical injuries as a result of Russian aggression. Children in Ukraine have been in underground shelters every day for two and a half years, escaping from Russian drones and missiles. Tens of thousands of children have lost their homes, hundreds of thousands are deprived of the opportunity to study in a regular school due to the risks of shelling and are forced to study online. Thousands of Ukrainian children became orphans due to the death of one or both parents. And about a million children are deprived of the usual parental care of one of their parents due to their being in the ranks of the Armed Forces.
